DIGUSTING GROUP OF SCAMMERS. BEWARE OF SCAMCELLULAR

Ordered a phone, blue pristine condition sometime in April.

I rang/emailed to cancel the order due to the negative online reviews. ***, LIED about "cancelling the order". They tried to sell me a different coloured (black) phone instead as the blue was out of stock. I repeated requested a cancellation.

They STILL dispatched the phone despite repeatedly asking them to cancel it.

The phone came later in May. The videoed the unboxing for my protection. The "pristine" phone was covered in dents on the main screen and cosmetic damage. It also did not turn on.

After contacting them, I sent the phone back using the best delivery service Royal Mail offer.

Weeks later no response then a month or so I receive the same AI/Chat GPT generated responses from ***.

I am absolutely livid.

I will be looking to report them to trading standards and other relevant parties.

They are 100% doing dodgy business and HMRC also needs to investigate them for possible tax evasion. They also pay for 4-5* reviews or to remove negative removes.

I urge EVERYONE to report them to the relevant parties/organisations.

BEWARE.. ordered a iPhone 12 almost 2 months ago, after weeks of being ignored or the runaround with delivery dates etc I finally sent an email cancelling the order and advising them I would start chargeback proceedings as well as leaving them phone messages to confirm, received an email confirmation the order was cancelled and the refund would take 3-5 days (this was 29/05, it is now 25/06 and nothing).

I have now filled a visa dispute and fraud case as well as in the process of filling complaints with the local trading standards authority and consumer rights. I honestly dont right review etc but am so disheartened and if I can help even one person avoid this companies sheer dishonesty, lies and incompetence then my rant will be worth it.

WARNING SCAMMERS SMART CELLULAR (THEY REPLY TO ONLINE REVIEWS TO APPEAR GENUINE ONLINE BUT NOT TO ACTUAL EMAILS OR MESSAGES - DO NOT BE FOOLED) These people should absolutely not get away with this. This company has kept my sons iPhone and have stopped responding after we declined their revised offer.

Here is exactly what happened: We sent my sons Apple iPhone 14 Pro 512 GB that was immaculate and fully working under Smart Cellulars trade-in scheme. They originally provided a high trade-in valuation and they were running an offer for an extra 15%. After receiving the device, they claimed the camera lens was damaged (it was not when sent). 6th Jan 2026 - They said 'your handset has been valued at £22.00 We declined the revised offer by email on 7th Jan 2026 - We replied - please send it back.

Then silence... I have messaged over 8 times on Instagram, emailed and no respose other than they will get back to me (automated response) Under their own terms, if the revised offer is not accepted, the device must be returned. Over one month later, the phone has still not been returned. Smart Cellular has not replied to emails or messages and has provided no resolution.

There has been no refusal, no explanation, and no communication only silence while retaining the device. We are now: Reporting this to Trading Standards Filing a report with Action Fraud Preparing a Small Claims Court claim for the full value If you are considering using Smart Cellular, please read this carefully. I am already emailed them multiple times and many times on Instagram over the last month with no response. They just dont reply other than email us or we will get back to you working working hours?. They just write this on all their reviews to make people feel like they are sorting these issues out. But they are not!

I was offered £315 for my excelllent phone, once they received said it had scratches on corners and screen. Rubbish said this to drop offer to £110, refused.

They got offer up to £180 and at start they said select payment pay pal was offered. All of sudden the cant dont use pay pal, want bank details. Definitely not. This has been going on for weeks.

Now on 30 emails from them, they still have my phone. I decided wanted it sent back, have been putting bad reviews all over, reported to police and Action Fraud as they are doing the same to buyers and sellers. Their good reviews are clearly fake or they are bribing for people to give a good review. It is wrong what they are doing.

This has been going on since 1st week in October. They said they would send phone by Royal Mail 48 hour tracking. Again Royal Mail are waiting to scan it and low and behold they have not sent it. They also from other reviews if you ask for your phone to be sent back they damage it.

Someone received their phone with the screen cracked and have photos of how it was sent no damage. I also want to add I sent my google phone in my new iPhone box. The first email I received from smart cellular, 30 minutes beforehand I was receiving codes that someone was trying to access my Apple ID. The ID was an old one my current email.

Luckily these codes were coming to me and my new Apple ID is a new email address I set up. So know for a fact it was them, three lots of codes kept coming through, they couldnt gain access.

I do not store bank details in my apple account, but be careful if you do.

DO NOT TRUST THEM. SOMEONE NEEDS TO PREvENT THEM SCAMMING ANYONE ELSE.

I wanted to sell a pristine Iphone 16 pro 1TB and found this company's quote fairly decent. I followed their instructions to the letter, knowing it has hardly been used.

I had to post it even though their premises is only around the corner from me as they wouldn't allow me to drop it off, which cost me £13.50!

After about 5 days of having the phone they wanted so much information like photo ID, bank statement, a statement, receipt, I thought they were going to ask for a blood sample next!

3 days later, I receive a ridiculous offer for £250, when the price was supposed to be £729! I don't think it has gone down that much, what a rip off!

Their excuse is that the price has gone down because new models have come out.

Well yes they have, because they've had the phone for so long! There was no need to keep it for over a week!

Plus they will not return it quickly. They say it will take 5-7 days, to try to make me take the offer, which I won't!!!

PLEASE BEWARE!!!

DO NOT SEND YOUR PHONE TO THESE RIP OFF MERCHANTS!!

I have lost money because they want to make more.

How do they sleep at night???

They have updated their offer to £300 WOW bound to accept, not!

They say, 'We found your device was likely purchased on contract rather directly from Apple. High-value models carry additional risks.

Since your device is not insured, we must purchase extra coverage before resale, which is standard practice for high-value devices.'

They then proceed to to inform me that if I want my phone back, I need to pay for the postage, which was not stated on any of their advertisements.

I have been taken for a ride and I feel depleted!

My experience with Smart Cellular has been absolutely appalling. They have shown a complete lack of honesty, professionalism, and respect for customers.

After sending in my phone, they downgraded it unfairly, refused to provide proper evidence, and then demanded that I pay for tracked return postage, even though the situation was entirely caused by their misleading grading system.

They then blocked my calls and ignored my emails, making it almost impossible to get any update.

At one point, I was told my phone had been sent back, only to later be told it was still with them and would be destroyed, completely unacceptable and deeply worrying behaviour.

Even worse, they appeared to impersonate an independent ADR (Alternative Dispute Resolution) company using a different phone number to try to pressure me into accepting their decision, something that is not only unethical but potentially unlawful.

When I challenged them and raised concerns through legitimate channels, I received a threatening email accusing me of making false allegations and warning of defamation despite everything Ive written being fully supported by evidence.

I have reported this company to Trading Standards and watch dog and would strongly advise others to avoid them completely. No one should have to deal with intimidation or deception when simply trying to sell a phone.

Ordered what was suggested as "Pristine Condition" with a delivery showing as before Xmas. Item didnt arrive until mid january, of which you see that the phone had a hard life and full of scratches.

Its clear to me they dont have the stock that they advertise.

Raised a dispute immediately with pictures and allowed them the opportunity to partially refund me around 25% of the price paid.

Responses are slow, but they did offer me £20 and pair of wired headphones. This was not acceptable to me and I opted to send them the phone back under the customer promise they have of a refund. I paid for the postage myself rather than take their postage on the return form.

The have acknowledged recieving the item back, accepted the return. My problem isnt so much the above its the fact that I have still not recieved my refund 1 month later.

They (Kira) has even asked for my bank details, as they cannot refund a credit card - which I am uncomftable giving. They have told me they are escalating this to pay me back on more than occasion.

Still no refund - I will pursue this.

They do not answer the phone and slow everything down.

But please please do not sell to this business and do not buy from this business either.
